The Engineering Management major is a good choice for you if you would like to learn how to manage people and processes in a technical environment. This major is offered jointly by the Gadomski School of Engineering and the School of Business.

An Alternative Choice in Engineering

The Engineering Management major is also a great option if you discover, during your study of engineering, that you are most interested in the management aspects of this field. The BSEM is still focused on engineering, but requires less upper-division math and science courses.

Concentrations

All three concentrations that comprise this program are balanced between general education, business, and engineering courses. The concentrations are:

Packaging Concentration
The Packaging Concentration in Engineering Management studies an interdisciplinary field in which scientific and engineering principles are applied to develop and produce packages that contain, protect and preserve, transport, inform, and sell a product. Game Development Concentration
This program is intended to provide students with the knowledge needed to pursue a career in the game industry.  It will provide a combination of programming and game design principles.  Students will also acquire key project management skills. This curriculum is delivered exclusively through an online platform.

Data Analytics Concentration
Proficiency in data analytics will empower individuals to address challenges through a data-centric methodology. Participants will develop the ability to assess, structure, and proficiently showcase extensive datasets. Moreover, they will gain essential competencies in project management. This curriculum is delivered exclusively through an online platform.
